Savings accounts
Compare balance requirements, account variants, debit card charges, KYC limits, transfer charges and branch or online support. A “zero-balance” claim may apply only to a particular account type or under certain conditions.
Choose banking services carefully. A referral offer does not automatically mean lower fees or guaranteed approval. Read the details on the bank or broker's official application before sharing any personal data.

Compare joining and annual fees, rewards exclusions, finance charges, late-payment charges and credit limits. Paying only the minimum amount can increase the overall cost of borrowing.
The EMI is only one part of the cost. Compare interest, processing fees, compulsory add-ons, early repayment terms and the total amount payable. Do not apply to multiple lenders simply to test eligibility.
Check account maintenance, transaction charges, support channels and market risks. Stocks and other investments can lose value; a referral is not investment advice.
Start by identifying what the product will actually cost, rather than choosing the largest advertised benefit. For a savings account, minimum balance, debit-card fees, transaction limits, closure terms and customer support can matter more than a promotional headline. For a credit card, review joining fee, renewal fee, interest on unpaid balances, late charges, eligibility and restrictions on advertised rewards. Two cards from the same bank can have different rules; compare the exact card variant.
Before applying for any loan, write down the lender's legal name, principal, total amount disbursed, APR where provided, processing charges, insurance or optional add-ons, EMI dates, total amount repayable and preclosure conditions. An offer with a smaller monthly EMI may simply have a longer tenure. Check the final terms in the lender's Key Facts Statement or loan agreement, where applicable; the FICTION CLUB calculator is not a lender's approval or quote.
Nominal annual interest, effective interest, flat-rate interest and APR are not identical descriptions. A typical reducing-balance loan charges interest on the unpaid principal, while other products use different calculations. If a shopping checkout says “no-cost EMI”, read the processing fee, taxes and any instant discount you might be giving up. Zero advertised interest does not automatically mean zero extra cost. If an EMI converts a credit-card transaction, the card limit and repayment handling may be affected according to your provider's rules.
Use the EMI calculator to create an approximate comparison, then compare its assumptions with the lender's written schedule. Keep evidence of payment, due dates and closure confirmation. A cancelled bank auto-debit mandate does not cancel a signed loan agreement.
Credit reports can contain loan accounts, repayment history, enquiries and identifying details. Obtain your own report only from an authorized bureau or a clearly identified provider, and verify the latest free-report eligibility and paid monitoring terms on the official website. FICTION CLUB does not have an approved API to display your CIBIL or Experian score and does not ask you to upload PAN, Aadhaar, credit reports, OTPs or bank passwords to these guide pages.
A discrepancy in a report should be taken up with the reporting lender and relevant bureau using their official dispute procedure. Paying an unknown third party who promises to erase an accurate negative history may create another risk. A good score does not guarantee approval, and repeated applications may create multiple credit enquiries. Read the conditions before giving consent for a credit check.
