Privacy Policy

FICTION CLUB is a public information website. Our basic browser calculators, word counter, date tools and image resizer are designed to process entered information locally in your browser. These tools do not intentionally send your inputs or selected images to our server. Your browser and hosting provider may still process ordinary technical requests needed to load the website.

Language preference

When you choose EN or Malayalam in the site header, your browser saves the preference in local storage under the key fictionclub_ui_language. This helps keep the chosen interface language while navigating between FICTION CLUB pages. The preference is stored in your browser and is not a contact detail or advertising identifier; you can reset it by changing the language or clearing this site’s storage in your browser settings. We do not submit site text to an external machine translation service. Malayalam educational articles remain available in their original language, while optional English overviews are labelled as summaries.

Information you provide

If you email us, we receive the email address and information you choose to send. We use it to respond to your enquiry.

Optional Google account sign-in

If you choose Google Sign-in, Firebase Authentication and Google may process your account identifier, name, email address, profile picture and session data for authentication. FICTION CLUB does not receive your Google password, bank passwords or one-time passwords. You may sign out at any time. Browser session persistence depends on the option you choose; always sign out on shared computers. Sign-in is optional: Kerala service guides can be accessed without an account. Hosting and logs

Our hosting provider may process standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type and access logs, to deliver and secure the site. Please refer to the hosting provider's privacy documentation for details.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

FICTION CLUB has applied to Google AdSense. An AdSense code may load on our content pages while our application is under review. This does not mean that Google has approved the site or that ads are currently being served. Google and other advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers when advertising technology loads or serves ads. Cookies may help display, measure and personalize advertisements.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on earlier visits to our website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to FICTION CLUB or elsewhere on the internet. Visitors can manage or opt out of personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center / Ad Settings. For participating third-party advertising providers, see WebChoices opt-out options. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies, although this may affect site and sign-in features. If third-party advertising networks beyond Google are enabled, we will update this page with applicable disclosures and vendor details.

Consent and international visitors

Where applicable, FICTION CLUB must obtain appropriate consent before using advertising cookies or personalized ads. Google requires a certified consent management platform (CMP) for eligible ad serving to users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland. We will configure the required consent solution before enabling ads in those markets. Users can contact us with privacy enquiries at the email address below.

Data retention and your choices

Basic educational pages and client-side calculators do not require an FICTION CLUB account. We do not intentionally collect their calculation inputs or uploaded images on our server. If you sign in, Google/Firebase Authentication may store your account and session data according to their policies. To request account-data access, correction or deletion of data controlled by FICTION CLUB, write to mail@fictionclub.in. We may need to verify ownership before fulfilling a request. Email enquiries are retained only as needed to respond and keep essential records; we do not sell user data.
